AUDIO AD PROJECT - EXCURSION

EXCURSION
EXCURSION a company (of my own creation) meant to make people's lives easier through designing bags that adhere to people's busy lives and schedules.

TARGET AUDIENCE
My target audience for this project is young people who are constantly on the go due to their busy schedules. I wanted to create an ad that would appeal to young people and their needs for functionality and convenience in their busy lives.
>THE PROCESS
THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT
The goal of this project was to create an ad that clearly gets the message across to the listener of what my ad is, why they should care, and makes the listener feel as though they need to buy this project.

RECORDING 
At the beginning of this project I planned out the script. I wrote three different ads, pertaining to three different products. After the scripts were reviewed, it was brought to my attention that the script was easy to read but hard to say aloud. I then reviewed the scripts and made the appropriate changes needed.

While recording using the Rode Reporter app and a pair of Apple Wired Headphones to get the audio input, I read the scripts aloud and made slight changes to the script as I recorded the audio. 

EDITING
The software I used to edit the audio was Adobe Audition. I first input the voiceover and the music I wanted. I adjusted the volume of each clip to ensure that nothing would be drowned out. After that I went and looked for sound effects to include. 

I feel as though editing the audio file and putting it all together was the trickiest thing for me to do, due to my lack of experience working with audio and advertising. However, through thinking and considering all the things that make advertisements interesting I was able to find out what I thought would make my ad interesting and engaging. 

OVERALL EDITING
Throughout the process of completing this project, feedback was crucial to its completion. I had others listen to my audio ad project multiple times throughout the editing process. They pointed out places where the audio seemed disconnected or awkward and where some sound effects sounded out of place.

Due to my lack of experience in this field, getting feedback from an outside perspective allowed me to make sure that my ad made sense and was cohesive.
